Here's how I'm doing the standard Nick-E-Shifter - an exact reproduction of the original Speed-E-Shift.
The red areas marks out the shape of the 'E' shackles on a standard Speed-E ment for rotary tops, as you can see it's got 5 different positions: 1 N 2 3 4.
And here's how I'm doing the Nick-E-Shift for Ratchet Tops, only 2 positions needed in the 'E' shackles, finding neutral will be so much easier and these shifters won't have to run the neutral lever like the standard Speed-E's.
