Cast bronze triple trees by Vard, just got to be the most beautiful trees ever made.
These are the Harley type with the flat top tree.
72 101 = top tree.
72 102 = lower tree.
I love everything about the design, the only annoying thing right now is that I'm starting to feel a deep urge to put this frontend on Supertuppen, and that would definitely delay things even more...
And since I'm apparently smart enough to fool myselfe and dumb enough to believe it I guess I'll never be able to know anything for sure anymore.
true pieces of history.
SvaraRaderaBeautiful for sure
SvaraRaderaWow !!
SvaraRaderaI saw a Vard front end for the first time on a Knuckle at Mark Austin's Pacific HD (North of Sydney) ... Beautiful!
SvaraRadera(I've wanted one ever since - You have pure gold in your hands! )
didn't you get me emails nicke? I'm desperate and need to find a Vard fork, just name your price.
SvaraRaderaIt's not for sale.
Raderagreat photo layout with the magazine articles and all.
SvaraRaderaHey nicke, beautiful parts! Why did they use bronze? Are they strong?
SvaraRaderaDude I tried to read up on that too since it's so odd, and these forks seem to have been a bit debated when they first came out because of it, but as stated in a late 1940's Motorcyclist I've got; not one single case was ever reported of someone breaking a set of trees. I guess they knew what they were doing since Vard mainly fabricated landing gear components for the airforce.
RaderaThis is all very cool info to read up on. Doing research as Vard Wallace was my grandfather and i just came across 5 original pictures of the Vard Motorcyle while cleaning out my father's garage this last weekend.
SvaraRaderaNo way! That is amazing...
RaderaHere is one of them (hope this works).

That's really cool Brad, hey I scanned a full article about the Vard motorcycle a few posts back if you care to see it, from a 1951 Motorcyclist Magazine.
